Gurgling sounds, spit-back droplets and pocket leaks are annoying but usually fixable. Here’s the checklist.
1. Condensation in the mouthpiece
The most common “leak” isn’t a leak at all — it’s vapour condensation pooling in the tip. Fix: flick the device firmly mouthpiece-down over a bin three or four times, then wipe the tip with a tissue.
2. Temperature swings
Moving a device from a hot car to air-conditioning changes air pressure inside the tank and can push liquid past seals. Fix: let the device reach room temperature before vaping, and store it tip-up.
3. Altitude changes
Flights and drives through mountains can force liquid out of any sealed device. Fix: transport in an upright position in a small zip bag — if it leaks, it leaks into the bag, not your bag.
4. Drawing too hard
Aggressive drags flood the airflow channel with more liquid than the coil can vaporise — that’s the gurgle. Fix: slower, gentler puffs. Your flavour improves too.
5. A damaged or fake device
